Judging

In 2014 Paul Shepard, ICF judge, with the help of other committee members will be creating a UK judges qualification. This is to extend the current ICF qualification for those not wishing to judge internationally.

Although only in the planning stages the basis of the qualification have been formulated.

There will be a number of categories:

  • Class A – Chief Judge – Judges holding this qualification will be able to chief judge all UK  float boat competitions including GBR Selection Events and British Championship Events.
  • Class B – Chief Judge – Judges holding this qualification will be able to judge all UK  float boat competitions except GBR Selection Events and British Championship Events.
  • Class A – Judge – Judges holding this qualification will be able to judge all UK  float boat competitions including GBR Selection Events and British Championship Events.
  • Class B – Judge- Judges holding this qualification will be able to judge all UK  float boat competitions except GBR Selection Events and British Championship Events.
  • Squirt Judge – Judges holding the qualification will be able to judge all UK squirt competitions including GBR Selection Events and British Championship Events.
  • Scribe and Time Keeper – This is a qualification to recognise proficiency in scribing and time keeping for events.

The BCU Freestyle Committee will only support applicants applying for ICF judging standard who hold at least Class A qualification.
